Balanced and speedy development of the State being ensured

Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister today performed the foundation stone laying ceremonies of residential complex of Government Degree College, Shillai to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.34 crore, ITI building, Shillai to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.34 crore and additional block of Community Health Centre (CHC), Shillai to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.03 crore in Sirmaur district today.

Addressing a public meeting at Shillai, Chief Minister said that balanced and uniform development was being carried out throughout the State by rising above political considerations. He said that special attention was being paid to those areas which were remained neglected so far. He said that under Pandit Deen Dayal Kisan Baagwan Samridhi Yojna additional budgetary provision of Rs. 190 crore had been made and the scheme had been extended for another three years.

Prof. Dhumal said that BJP was the Government of common man and had implemented various schemes for their welfare. He said that State Government had enhanced the daily wages of the workers from Rs. 75 to Rs. 150 thereby additionally benefiting them of Rs. 27375 annually. He said that labour hostel had been constructed in Shimla for workers.

He said that road, health and education had been accorded top priority and added that educational institutions of repute were being opened in the State so as to provide quality education to the youth at their door steps. He said that Atal School Uniform Scheme had been launched by the State Government from district Sirmaur under which two pairs of uniform were being given to every student of Government schools upto 10th class by spending Rs. 64 crore.

Chief Minister said that 27 more ambulances would be added to existing fleet of ambulances under Atal Swasthya Sewa Yojna and to position the same in such remote and other far flung areas of the State. He said that various schemes as Muskan Yojna, Mukhamantri Vidyarthi Swasthya Programme, Matri Sewa Yojna were being implemented under health sector. He said that free institutional delivery facility in government hospitals was being provided to expectant mothers besides Rs. 700 being paid to them.

Prof. Dhumal said that Rs. 34 crore had been spent on various developmental activities in Shillai area besides 15 villages were provided road connectivity and 23 government buildings were constructed during last four and a half years. He sought the support of people for implementing the policies and

programmes of the State Government effectively in future too.

Prof. Dhumal was presented a draft of Rs.11000 towards Chief Minister Relief Fund by BJP Mandal, Shillai.

Shri Sukh Ram Chaudhary, Chief Parliamentary Secretary welcomed the Chief Minister and said that various technical and educational institutions had been opened in Sirmaur district during last four and a half years.

Shri Baldev Tomar President, District BJP welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for accelerating the pace of development in the area which remained neglected during the previous government regime.

, Dr. Rajeev Bindal, MLA and former Minister, Shri Virender Kashyap, Member of Parliament, Shri Balbir Chauhan, Vice Chairman, SC/ST Development Corporation, Shri Sohan Singh Thakur, BJP Mandal President, Shillai, Smt. Dayal Pyari, Chairperson, Zila Parishad. Shri Dilip Singh Tomar, Former District President BJP, Shri Amar Singh Chauhan, Senior BJP leader were also present on the occasion among others.
