Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister today performed the foundation-stone laying ceremony of Science block of Government Senior Secondary School, Dhalpur in Kullu district to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 80 lakh. He also laid foundation-stones of Rs. 9.39 crore proposed Art Block, Administrative Block and Auditorium of Government Degree College and 15 kms long widening and improvement of Dhalpur-Sildbadhani road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 12.05 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that State Government had launched Rs. 64 crore, Atal School Uniform Yojna for the students of government schools from 1st to 10th class, twice a year with stitching charges of Rs. 100 per pair with a view to bring uniformity among the students.

Chief Minister said that State Government was endeavouring to provide quality education to the students of the State and it was marching towards becoming Educational Hub of the country.

Prof. Dhumal announced Rs. 10,000 for promotion of cultural activities in the school.

Shri Gobind Thakur, MLA also spoke on the occasion and urged the Chief Minister for providing Hostel facilities in the school.
