Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs. five lakh to Smt. Sunita Kumari of village Ropari, Tehsil Jaisinghpur, District Kangra who is suffering from 'B-Cell All' disease and was under treatment at PGI Chandigarh. She belongs to a poor family and could not manage to arrange money for her treatment which was required urgently. Smt. Sunita Kumari approached Chief Minister for financial assistance from CM's Relief Fund and Chief Minister directed the authorities to release said amount to PGI, Chandigarh for her treatment.

Chief Minister Relief Fund has saved many precious lives who otherwise could not afford expenses on account of treatment. Over Rs. 23 crore had been given to more than 12000 persons for their treatment and also in other emergent during last four and a half years from this Fund.
