Dr. Vinod Pathak, Director, Health Services said here today that 38 cases of Diarrhoea were reported in different hospitals of Shimla town (13 IGMC Shimla, 18 Deen Dayal Upadhya Hospital, Shimla and seven Civil Dispensary Sanjauli). He said that 29 cases (22 from different ward of Shimla town and seven outside Shimla town) were from other places and only nine cases from the affected area of Sanjuali. He told that out of these nine cases reported from Sanjauli area, two were admitted in IGMC, Shimla and seven treated as outpatient.

Dr. Pathak said that the Health teams continued their visit today also and visited 221 houses, distributed 61 ORS packets and 455 chlorine tablets in the affected area of Sanjauli. He said that IEC activities in the form of miking and house visits were going -on in the affected area.

Dr. Pathak said that the situation in the affected area of Sanjauli was under control and the Department monitoring the situation on day to day basis.
