Services are being rendered by the young employees
Disaster Management Cell Kullu has been a pioneer in fulfilling its commitment to the emergency services by carrying out its responsibility well, during the pandemic. When most of the employees and general public were cooperating by staying at their homes, these corona warriors were available 24X7 behind the scene in this crisis to provide their services to public. It is noteworthy that out of 11 personnel working in the Disaster Management Authority, Kullu, 10 are young people in the age group of 25 to 30 years.
These employees are working dedicatedly from early morning till late night in providing desired information to the public on the phone calls and ensuring prompt redressal of their doubts. These employees are playing an important role in collection and dissemination of information.
Apart from this, the centre is alsoplaying a vital role in the crisis management by creating advisiory records and providing information to the administration. Not only this, these young workers are also carrying out the sacred work of blood donation in these circumstances. District coordinator Prashant Singh has set an example on by donating blood for a cancer patient.
Prashant Singh, District Coordinator of COVID-19 global pendemic Kovid-19, the responsibility of this centre has increased more. The compilation of required information from various offices at the district level, sub-division and block level has become a regular part of the functioning of this centre. He said that such information exchange is important for better management of any kind of disaster.
Prashant Singh said that toll-free number of the District Disaster Management Centre was publicized through social media and by other means for assisting people. The employees of this centre are working with a zeal and exemplary dedication in this situation. Prashant Singh believes that nothing is more important than service to the nation and duty towards mankind. He considers himself fortunate to be providing the service to the people of the district in this situation.
The employees of the Disaster Management Authority, Kullu, are taking full advantages of the experience and guidance of Sunder Singh Thakur, Kanungo, who is working as financial manager in the disaster cell. Data coordinator Rakesh, also is being very helpful to all employees toward fulfilling their duties.
