CABINET DECISIONS

 The Cabinet in its meeting held here today gave nod to criteria for allocation and reservation of seats for making admission in Post Graduate  and under graduate courses in all the technical, vocational or professional educational institutions in the State affiliated to HP Technical University, Hamirpur in accordance with the provision contained under section 6 & 7  of the Himachal Pradesh Private Technical and Vocational Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fee) Act, 2008.

The Cabinet meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh.

It was decided that as many as 15 percent of the total sanctioned seats in technical, vocational and educational institutions will be filled from all India quota and 65 percent seats would be reserved for the HP State quota. The share of the seats for the Non-Residents Indians will be 5 percent besides 15 percent for Management seats in private institutions only.

The Cabinet also accorded approval for amendment in Himachal Pradesh Aero Sports Rules, 2004. The license issued to an operator intending to operate aero sports will now be valid upto three years after approval of the technical committee instead of one year.

The Cabinet decided to set up Social Audit Unit (SAU), deployment of staff and formulation of HP Social Audit Scheme under MGNREGS.  

It approved to create a new medical block at Kataula in district Mandi along with the required posts and opening of fire post at Kala Amb in district Sirmaur.

It also gave approval for change of name of Regional Ayurvedic Hospital at Paprola as Rajiv Gandhi Government Post Graduate Ayurvedic College and Hospital and for opening new Ayurvedic Health Centres at village and gram panchayat Ohra in   Tehsil Dalhousie and at village Koot in Gram Panchayat Koot in Rampur Bushahar in district Shimla along with creation of posts thereof. 

The Cabinet also decided to fix norms for starting Art, Science and Commerce streams in Government Senior Secondary Schools in the State.

It was decided to transfer the government land in the name of education department for construction of Kendriya Vidyalaya at Bangana in district Una.

The decision has been taken for up-grading Sub-Tehsil Nihri  to Tehsil in district Mandi and also Sub-Tehsil at Darini in Shahpur in district Kangra.

It decided to include areas of village Luharwin and Sinhal under Ghumarwin Nagar parishad in Bilaspur district.

 

The Cabinet decided to fill up 10 posts of Extension Officers (Industries) in the Industries Department.

It gave nod to fill up 112 posts of constables (driver) through direct recruitment and 24 posts of constable (Band Staff) as per existing standing orders from amongst the 640 posts of male constables approved for filling up earlier.

The Cabinet decided to amend sections 4, 7, 21 and 34 of H.P. Value Added Tax Act, 2005 and inserted sections 50A.

The Cabinet also reviewed the Swine  Flu situation in the State and directed the Health department to take necessary measures and to spread awareness amongst the masses regarding Do’s and Don’t’s for prevention of flu and also to issue necessary directions to the Deputy Commissioners to personally monitor the situation and preparedness.
