"Prime Minister award for Excellence in Public Administration 2017 " to district Solan of Himachal Pradesh for e-National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) Programme will be presented by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 11th Civil Services Day on 21 April, 2017 at Delhi. This was disclosed by Dr. Purnima Chauhan, Secretary Administrative Reforms H.P. Govt. today.
She said that last year also Himachal Pradesh received PM's Award, 2016 for the best performance in Hamirpur district under Soil Health Card Scheme under PSG Act, 2011.
Dr. Chauhan said that e-NAM Programme will be helpful to bring transparency in the trading of products besides ensuring remunerative prices to the farmers. She said that marketing process will be cashless and instant payment will be made the growers. She added that the parameters of quality testing lab are very high and these will be linked with all the markets in near future.
Shri Arvind Mehta, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture, Dr. Subhash Manglate, Chairman, HP State Agricultural Marketing Board, Dr. H.S. Baweja, MD, State Agriculture Marketing Board, Shri Prakash Kashyap, Secretary, APMC Solan and Shri Devender Shyam, Advisor, HP State Agricultural Marketing Board will attend the function.
