Digitalization will put check on fake currency

More than 80 percent of the informal economy activities especially in retail sector will be brought into formal economy in the country. This is possible only with Digitalization and currency of cash less transactions in the country. It will increase the number of tax payers with availability of adequate funds for development.
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda presiding over Digidhan Mela at Peterhoff here today said that 27 crore Saving Accounts were opened under Jan-Dhan Yojana in different banks with a deposit of Rs. 63,800 crore. This amount deposited in the banks could be used for economic development of the Nation.
IT and IPH Minister Vidya Stokes said that the State Government was promoting computerization in every department and advocating cash less system for Government transactions. The Excise and Taxation department in the State has made all the requisite forms online for convenience of commercial activities leading to transparency and promptness.
She said the State is ready for adopting GST as and when applied by the Centre Government. The State is credited with having Aadhar Cards for every citizen for the State. This achievement will also promote Digital transactions for economy activities.
She said computerization was being promoted in every department of the State. She urged the Union Minister to provide more funds for promotion of digitalization and computerization in Government departments.
Principal Secretary IT Jagdish Sharma said that adequate training was being provided to employees in the State by IT department.
