An official spokesman said here today that Himachal Pradesh Government has re-constituted Ex-Servicemen Welfare Board. He said that Chief Minister will be the Chairman of the Board and Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretaries, Revenue/Cooperation/MPP &Power, Agriculture/ Animal Husbandry/Fisheries, PWD, Finance, Housing/UD/TCP, Principal Secretaries, Forest/F&S, Ayurveda/RPG, Transport/Technical Education, Industries/ Eduction/ LEP, Home/Health, Horticulture, Secretaries, Irrigation & Public Health /Social Justice & Empowerment, Rural Development/Excise and Taxation, Director, Sainik Welfare, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, H.P. Ex-Servicemen Corporation, Hamirpur will be its members whereas Secretary, Sainik Welfare will be Member Secretary.
He said besides this, 87 non official members have also been nominated in the Board. He said the tenure of the board will be for three years and will look after the welfare of ex-servicemen/war widows and their dependents and also to sort out their problems/grievances on priority. He said it will meet at least once in a period of six months.
