Work on Theog by-pass would be started soon: Smt. Stokes

           Irrigation and Public Health Minister Smt. Vidya Stokes said that     Rs. 39 crore had been received from the government of India for the construction of Theog by-pass and the tenders would be invited soon to start this work on priority basis. She was presiding over a meeting with the senior officers of various departments at Secretariat today.

She said many milestones of development were setup during last four years in Theog assembly segment. She said the construction of Civil Hospital Theog was in progress and the case of additional funds of Rs. 3 crore has been sent to Finance department for the sanction.

Smt. Stokes said the work on bus stand Theog was in progress and additionality of Rs. 3 crore would be provided soon. She directed the concerned authority to speed up the construction. She said the foundation stone for the construction of shopping complex was laid in the year 2014 for which the land has already been transferred to State Transport Authority. She directed to constitute a committee under SDM Theog to ensure early construction of this bus stand. She expressed concern upon the delay in carrying out the construction of Mini Secretariat despite allotment of Rs. 4 crore for the same.

It was apprised that the construction of GSSS Mahori has already been started and Rs. 2.35 crore would be spent on it. Similarly the construction of GSSS Matiana, Tiyal, Nahol, Kot-Shilaru and Kelvi buildings would be started soon.

The Minister directed the officers of concerned departments for the time bound implementation and construction of all developmental works and Chief Minister announcements including CA stores and up gradation of various Schools in the segment.
