556 roads opened, 576 I&PH Schemes restored

     Overall 97 percent power supply available

A Spokesman of State Government said here today that 607 roads were affected due to heavy snowfall and rains in various parts of the State, out of which 556 roads have been opened for vehicular traffic and the work on remaining 51 roads was being carried out on war footing. He said 205 JCBs, 28 dozers, 13 front end loaders and 12 Robots besides 12000 laborers had been deployed for restoration works. He said Luhri- Aut via Jalori Pass has been opened for light vehicles. All the roads shall be opened in next 1-2 days.

He said that 98 percent Power Supply had been restored in Shimla town, 99 percent in Rampur & Rohru,  95 percent in Jubbal & Kotkhai, 70 percent in Chpoal area,  95 percent in Bharmour, 95 percent in Tissa and 100 percent in Salloni and Dalhousie had been restored. Rest of the supply shall be restored by within next two days.

The Spokesperson said  total 728 schemes were affected, out of which 576 schemes have temporarily been restored and remaining shall take next 2-3 days. He said the places of public utility had already been provided the water supply.
