Governor urges to preserve our high values and traditions

Governor Acharya Devvrat  flagging off Mini Marathan at GTC Subathu in district Solan on 15 Jan 2017.

                      

Governor Acharya Devvrat urged the youth to remember the memories of great revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukh Dev and follow the path of nation building.

The Governor was speaking on the occasion of Mini Marathon - RUN FOR NATION function organized by 14 Gorkha Training Center at Subathu in Solan district today. Children, youth and senior citizens of Subathu and Jutogh cantonments participated in the marathon. 

While congratulating the army contingents on Army Day, the Governor said that the army personnel were rendering yeoman services in tough territories in the border areas by putting their life in danger for the sake of the country. It was due to their selfless services, we were enjoying the freedom, he added. He said that such activities would be helpful in channelizing the energy of youth in constructive and positive direction besides strengthening the spirit of nationalism among them. 

He said that India was a country of spiritual thoughts and since ages our traditions remained liberal. Human service and welfare have been our objective, he added.  He gave a clarion call to the youth to preserve our rich and high values and traditions and work for the development of the country. He said that it was our moral responsibility to dedicate our self for nation and always be ready for sacrificing our life for the sake of country. 

Acharya Devvrat said that we should remember the great men of history and urged the youth to read life history of them. He also urged them to participate in social awareness campaign. 

Chief Executive Officer, Jutogh Cantonment Ms Tanu Jain welcomed the Governor and briefed the activities of the event. She said that this marathon was being organized in 62 Cantonments of the Country on the occasion of Republic Day, added that the main aim of organizing the event was to awaken the spirit of patriotism among youth.

Member of Parliament Shri Virender Kashayap, Officiating Commandant, 14 GTC, Jutogh Col. M.S. Gains, Superintendent of Police Smt. Annum Sara, other senior army Officers and prominent people were also present on the occasion.
