Special paid holiday on 3rd November for voters of Baroda Assembly Constituency

A spokesperson of the State Government informed here today that a special paid holiday has been declared on 3rd November, 2020, which is a poll day for register voters of 33-Baroda Assembly Constituency of Haryana State, only serving or employed in Himachal Pradesh, on account of Bye-election to Baroda Assembly Constituency of Haryana.

The spokesperson said that it would be applicable to all such government/semi government employees and to the employees working in Boards, Corporations, Educational Institutions and Industrial Establishments who are registered voters of Baroda Assembly Constituency of Haryana. The above will also be a special paid holiday to the daily waged employees and also within the meaning of Section 25 of Negotiable Instruments act, 1881.

It is however, clarified that special casual leave/special paid holiday would be given to those employees, working in Himachal Pradesh but have a right to vote in Baroda Assembly Constituency of Haryana, on production of certificate from concerned Presiding Officer that the employee has actually cast his/her vote.
