In order to facilitate the smooth organisation of Himachal Pradesh Global Investor's Meet being organised at Dharamshala on 7-8 November, 2019 the state government has constituted nine committees. These include organising, hospitality and protocol, transport, city beautification and cleanliness, media, exhibition, cultural, security, fire services and emergency and local organising committee.
In addition to this, specific work has been assigned to four professional agencies namely Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as National Partner, Ernst and Young LLP as Knowledge Partner, Square Communication Ltd. as Media Partner and Integrated Conference and Event Management (ICE) as Event Partner.
The professional agencies have been entrusted with the planning, designing and implementation of various components of the Meet as per their mandate. The respective committees would take their assistance in discharge of the work assigned to them.
The organising committee has been constituted in the chairmanship of Chief Secretary to ensure general supervision and co-ordination of all activities of the Global Investor's Meet. It will also liaison with the Prime Minister's office, other Ministries, countries and states and Ambassadors.
The hospitality and protocol committee will be headed by Secretary (GAD) and will ensure protocol for VVIPs, arranging accommodation for the visiting guests.
The transport committee will be headed by Principal Secretary (Transport) and will work for selection of Travel Partner for the investors meet and arranging the pool of vehicles to ferry VIPs and delegates.
The Deputy Commissioner, Kangra has been made Chairman of city beautification and cleanliness committee for installation of hoardings, banners, signage's at different locations in Dharamshala and surrounding areas besides ensuring cleanliness and repair of roads, landmarks, airport, town etc.
The media committee has been constituted under Chairmanship of Principal Secretary (IPR) to ensure pre, during and post Meet publicity, media coverage and organising press conference for VVIPs and issuing press briefs.
Principal Secretary (Education) will head the exhibition committee for approval of designing and lay out of exhibition area, corresponding with companies/organisation/PSUs for putting up stalls for exhibition and allocation of stalls in the exhibition area.
The cultural committee has been constituted for selection of theme and presentations for the cultural evening, selection and inviting state and national level cultural troupes, artists and celebrities to perform at cultural evening and conduction the cultural show for delegates. This committee will be headed by Additional Chief Secretary (LAC).
The Security, Fire Services and Emergency committee has been constituted under the Chairmanship of Director General of Police. It will ensure security at the venue, hotels, airport and other places, security of VVIPs, emergency services like fire services, first aid and medical services and liaising with SPG and other government of India security and intelligences agencies.
The local organising committee has been constituted under Deputy Commissioner, Kangra for coordination and assistance to all other organising committees. It will provide all NOC,s approvals and facilitation to event partner, national partner and committees for organising the Meet.
