The four-day long Shimla Festival opened with colourful start on Thursday evening at the historic Ridge. Governor Acharya Devvrat inaugurated the festival in which local people and tourists participated with enthusiasm.
The Governor evinced keen interest in the cultural programmes presented during the first cultural evening of the festival. The Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman, Shimla Festival Organising Committee Amit Kashyap honoured the Governor on the occasion.
Senior officers of the State Government were also present on the occasion.
