Department of Environment Science & Technology has invited nominations from various categories of individuals, institutions of Himachal Pradesh for Environment Leadership Award. The award is open to various categories including urban local bodies, panchayats, hospitals, hotel/ resorts, restaurants, industries, schools, academic institutions other than schools, office premises, residence/resident welfare society, bus stand, railway stations etc.
A Spokesperson of the state government said here today that the purpose of the award is to recognize the efforts of various individuals and institutions towards environment conservation and protection and contribution in sustainable development of the state. Applicants may apply for the Award to the department of Environment, Science & Technology, Paryavaran Bhawan, Near US Club, Shimla-1 till 17 June, 2018.
He said that the first prize of the award is Rs. 50,000 besides a trophy and certificate and second prize is Rs. 25,000 besides a trophy and certificate. Notification by the government of Himachal Pradesh for the Award is also available on the website of the department of Environment Science & Technology. Information regarding advertisement and forms of applying to the award are available on the website www.desthp.nic.in of the Department of Environment Science & Technology Himachal Pradesh.
