A meeting of political parties of the State was convened here today by Chief Electoral Officer Pushpender Rajpoot to discuss various issues regarding ensuing Vidhansabha Election in the State.
Chief Electoral Officer called upon all political parties to motivate all eligible voter for enrolment in the electoral roll so that the updated list could be prepared well in time. He said special campaign has been launched in the State from 16th September to 30th September, 2017. Wherein left out voters could enrol themselves in the electoral rolls.
The voters can also enter their names through online facility on the website www.nvsp.in. They can also submit form with SDM, Tehsildar, Tehsildar (Election) and Booth Level Officer of their polling station. He said Booth Level Officer were also going house to house for enrolment of left out eligible electors. The form 6 for inclusion of names is available with BLOs.
The Process of registration will remain continue upto 10 days before the last date form making nominations. After that there will be no registration of electors till completion of election.
He said every contesting candidate will have to keep a separate and correct account of all expenditure incurred by him or by his election agent. The total expenditure will not exceed maximum limit of Rs. 28 lakh per Assembly Constituency.
DVD of Electoral rolls updated upto 15 September, 2017 was also provided to the representatives of various political parties. Representatives of Congress, BJP, BSP and CPI were also present on the occasion.
