Governor visits BBMB Dredger complex at Sundernagar

Reviews arrangements for water discharge and silt management

Governor Kavinder Gupta today visited the Dredger Complex of the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) at Sundernagar in Mandi district.

During the visit, the Governor was apprised of the various activities and operational mechanisms of the Board. He took keen interest in understanding the technical arrangements related to water discharge and the management and disposal of silt, which are critical for maintaining the efficiency and safety of reservoir systems.

Shri Gupta held detailed discussions with the officials regarding the measures adopted to ensure smooth water flow, effective sediment management and the overall maintenance of infrastructure. He lauded the efforts of the BBMB in adopting systematic and scientific approaches to address the challenges associated with silt accumulation and water management.

Secretary to the Governor Sandeep Bhardwaj, Deputy Commissioner Apoorv Devgan, Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar and senior officers of the Board were also present on the occasion.
