Government restructures Directorate of Education

As per notification issued by the state Government here today, the Directorate of Elementary Education shall henceforth function as Directorate of School Education which will look into all the affairs of the foundation level to class 12^th i.e from Bal vatika to plus two.

The Directorate of Higher Education will look after all the matters of Higher Education.

In addition to this in other notification, a committee has been formed to ensure proper transition of requisite staff wherein Secretary Education will be the Chairman besides Director School Education, Director Higher Education, State Project Director Samagra Shiksha, Additional Secretary and Under Secretary Eductaion, and Joint Controller (F&A) Samagar Shiksha will be the members of the committee.

Joint Secretary Education will be the Member Secretary of this committee.
