Chief Minister announces Government College for Chopal

·        Announces setting up of 66 KV Sub Station at Lastadhar

·        Soil testing unit to be opened at Chopal

 

With a view to ensure speedy development in rural areas, the State Government has given priority to connect every village with road facilities. As of now 34999 kilometers roads had been constructed benefitting people of farthest corner of the State and within next few years, efforts would be made to improve and mettle these roads besides constructing new link roads. This was stated by Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh while addressing a public meeting at Chopal in Shimla district today.

Chief Minister said that development of backward areas like Chopal was on the top agenda of the present Government and during last three and a half years such areas had witnessed speedy development in all spheres. He said that educational and health institutions, roads, drinking water supply schemes and irrigation facilities were being provided to these areas on priority to ensure their development.

Chief Minister announced government college at Chopal, car parking at Chopal, shopping complex at Chopal, health sub centre at Lower Kufer in gram panchayat Thana, health sub centre at Sangroli, upgradation of government middle school Kila to High School, Government High School Ghorna to Government Senior Secondary School, Government Middle School Karachi to High School, Government Primary School Rupari to Middle School, Government Middle School Andhroli to High School, opening of Veterinary Sub Centre Chokia.

He also announced setting up of 66 KV Sub Station at Lastadhar.

He also announced to open ayurvedic dispensary at Majhatoli and Mashran, health sub centre at Maatan, Bhot, upgradation of Government High School Jubbar to Government Senior Secondary School, Government High School Khagna to Government Senior Secondary School, Government Middle School Ganeo to High

 School, new Primary School to be opened at Thundal. He also announced setting up of soil testing unit at Chopal. He directed the authorities to complete work on Nerwa College within three months for which adequate funds would be provided.

Earlier, Chief Minister laid foundation stones of PHC building Jheena to be constructed at cost of Rs. 42.78 lakh, PHC building Bamta costing Rs. 43 lakh, beautification of Churdhar temple to be undertaken at a cost of Rs. 54 lakh, LDWSS from Neoti Khud to Thana-Khagna-Chanju-Coppal–Devat-Mashran costing Rs.781.16 lakh and road from Sarain to Jhokhar (PMGSY stage-II). He also inaugurated PHC Devat and LDWSS Churdhar.

MLA Shri Balbeer Verma, Chairman, H.P Marketing Board Dr. Subhash Manglate, Secretary, HPCC Shri Rajneesh Kimta also spoke on the occasion.

President, Nagar Parishad Chopal Shri Chander Mohan, Block Congress President Shri Sada Ram, Member Zila Parishad Ms. Anita Kimta and senior officers were also present on the occasion.
