Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, Party in-charge for HP Sushil Kumar Shinde and Co-incharge Ranjeeta Ranjan together reached Mandi from Kullu today to review arrangements in connection with visit of National Congress Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi, held simultaneous meetings with party workers and government functionaries and issued necessary directions regarding arrangements.
After landing at Paddal, the trio inspected the venue and gave necessary direction to make ‘Vikas Se Vijay’ rally a success. The Chief Minister met Sushil Kumar Shinde at Apple valley resort in Kullu after conclusion of Dusshera festival from where they flew to Mandi together from Bhuntar airport.
On reaching circuit house, Mandi, the Chief Minister also unveiled the foundation stone plaques for construction of Senior Secondary building at Dlurah (Seraj) to cost Rs. 56.53 lakh, additional accommodation of Circuit house Mandi to cost rupees 1.15 crore and Flow Irrigation Scheme Chirdi to benefit the villages of Dhar, Bodhal Chandru, Chambi, Khaterwari and Bharari in Sundernagar tehsil. A sum of Rs 1.73 crore was likely to be spent on its completion.
The Chief Minister also unveiled the inauguration plaque of a double lane bridge across Jawal rivulet in Bagsaid completed with an outlay of around rupees 1.90 crore under central road fund. The connectivity will benefit a population of 10,000 of the region.
Local Ministers including MLAs, Chairmen and officers of the concerned departments were also present.
