CM hands over key of ambulance to Chamba Red Cross Society

                                        Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh today handed over the keys of the ambulance to District Red Cross Society, Chamba. He said that this would help the Red Cross in reaching to the poor and the needy well in time. 

He also  distributed farmer kits, solar home lights, UV water filters to schedule tribe population living Below Poverty Line of Chamba Block under ‘Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojna’ of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. The Rs 50 crore scheme is being implemented in Chamba block of the State only.

The Chief Minister handed over the keys of nine carriage vehicles the pick-up jeeps to the beneficiaries for which 25 percent subsidy has been provided to them. 

He was detailed that as many as 126 households of schedule tribe population were provided Rs 75,000 each for construction and renovation of their houses. Under the scheme an amount of Rs. 50 lakh has been kept for dairy development component under ‘Shawet Dhara Unit’. Besides, seven tribal intensive government schools have been provided computers, LEDs, DTH (Dish), bio-metric machines etc.

The Chief Minister was informed that there were 254 self-help groups within Chamba development block. Play grounds, fishery tanks are also being constructed under the scheme.
