CM dedicates various developmental projects at Sunni

Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh dedicating the newly renovated premises of the Himachal Pradesh State Co-operative Bank at Sunni in Shimla district on 4 Dec 2016.

         Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh today dedicated the newly renovated premises of the Himachal Pradesh State Co-operative Bank at Sunni in Shimla district. He also inaugurated new branch of the State Cooperative Bank at Jalog online from Sunni branch, which is 219th branch of the bank in the State.

With the opening of the bank branch at Sunni, which is fitted with hi-tech and ultra modern facilities, the long pending demand of the people of the area has been fulfilled. The Chief Minister congratulated Chairman of the Bank Shri Harsh Mahajan for taking initiative for opening maximum branches of the bank in rural areas and making record profit.

Shri Mahajan informed that the bank has received permission from the Reserve Bank of India to open 22 new branches and two extension counters and all the branches, barring few, would be opened in far flung and rural areas of the state with ultra modern facilities.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the branch of Rural Development Bank and laid foundation stone of Nagar panchayat building at Sunni to cost Rs. 70 lakh. He also inaugurated newly constructed building of Police Station completed with an outlay of Rs. 71.63 lakh and type-IV quarters of civil hospital. He inaugurated newly constructed of Science block of Government Senior Secondary School at Sunni completed at a cost of Rs. 88 lakh and Rs 1.83 crore respectively.

Shri Virbhadra Singh distributed wheel chairs and stretchers at Civil Hospital and track suits donated by State Bank of India to all children of Bal Ashram, Sunni. He dedicated two coolers and two water purifiers donated by SBI to Government Senior Secondary School, Sunni.

While addressing on the occasion, the Chief Minister announced for upgradation and refurbishment of the school stadium of GSSS Sunni and directed the co-operative bank to install water cooler in Bal Ashram.

The Chief Minister said that being MLA from the area, his responsibility for the development and welfare of the people increases evermore. He also listed the development taken place in Shimla rural assembly segment during last four years.

He also listened to the public grievances and directed the concerned authorities for their early disposal.

Later, he inspected the Bal Ashram and directed for necessary repair works and bringing further improvements in the Ashram. He announced to construct a 50 bedded hostel for the children of the Ashram.

Chairperson, Zila Parishad Dharmila Harnot, Chairman, APMC Mahendar Staan, Chairman, ITI Dharampal Khand, BCC President, Shimla Rural Chandershekhar Sharma, Secretaries, HPCC Kusum Verma and Pradeep Verma, DC Rohan Thakur were also present on the occasion amongst senior officers of the district.
