Govt. committed to provide best possible education to students: CM

  • Lauds contribution of Pinegrove school in imparting quality education

It is proud moment for any school to celebrate its silver jubilee, especially when it has recognition all over the country for maintaining high standards of education and discipline besides assisting in shaping the career of the students so as to enable them to face unlimited challenges of life in this fast changing world. 

This was stated by Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh, who was the chief guest on the concluding day of silver jubilee celebration of Pinegrove School, nestled in the lap of Shivalik ranges near Kasauli, a renowned hill station of Himachal Pradesh in Solan district. 

“Ever since I came to politics, a big focus for me has always been on education, because I believe that only education helps in building a healthy, responsible and prosperous society”, said Shri Virbhadra Singh.

He said the quality of education being provided by the Pinegrove school was laudable adding that education was the basic need and without quality and higher education we could not compete with the other countries. 

A good education benefit individuals, their families, the communities and the country as well, he said adding that’s why we were concentrating more on education for children right from primary and secondary school education upto higher and professional education. It was being ensured that every child gets the best possible education and be an asset for his family and helps building a healthy Nation. 

 “I believe ensuring every child gets best of education as it is one of the most important things we can do as a government”, he said adding further that the government has pushed in a number of policies to cater to the educational and vocational needs of the students. Today, Himachal Pradesh was having more than 15500 schools and 115 degree colleges in the government sector alone and the government had always stresses on providing quality education. He said the efforts of the state government were being well supplemented and supported by the private educational institutions as well. 

The Chief Minister congratulated the school management and teaching staff for imparting modern quality education to its students. He especially lauded the NCC students for presenting impressive march past on this occasion. 

He evinced keen interest in the handicraft and visual art exhibitions, the handiwork of school children set up in the school. A documentary of schools journey and achievement was also shown on the occasion. 

Shri Virbhadra Singh also inspected the school parade and took salute from an impressive march-past presented by the school children.

He also laid foundation stone of indoor stadium of the school. 

A scintillating brass band and pipe band display and gymnastic show displaying physical skills and dance combined with cultural activities also formed part of the ‘Grand Finale’. A power point presentation of the school academic performance and other curricular activities was also displayed. 

Earlier, the Chief Minister accompanied with his wife and Vice-Chairperson Red Cross hospital Welfare Section Smt. Pratibha Singh, Chief Parliament Secretaries Shri Neeraj Bharti and Shri Vinay Kumar, State Youth Congress President Shri Vikramaditya Singh were accorded warm welcome by Principle of the school, Capt. A.J Singh and the staff members. 

General Secretary, HPCC Shri Vinod Sultanpuri, Vice-Chairman, HP Khadi Board Shri Ramesh Chauhan, Chairman, APMC Shri Ramesh Thakur and Chief Secretary Shri V.C. Pharka were also present on the occasion amongst others.
