CM announces various developmental projects for Haripurdhar

Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh inaugurating Kheri Changan Mahipur road  in District Sirmour on 24 Sep 2016.

  • Inaugurates Government Degree College Building at Haripurdhar
  • Announces upgradation of PHC Haripurdhar to CHC

Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh said that like other Government Colleges all the subjects would be introduced in Haripurdhar Degree College besides providing all facilities at par with other colleges of the State. He was addressing a public meeting at Haripurdhar in District Sirmour late last evening. He also inaugurated the Degree College Building at Haripurdhar constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.70 crore. 

Chief Minister said that he would not mind opening new schools provided that reasonable student strength was available. He said that girl education was being accorded importance and educational institutions were being opened in remote corners of the State. He said that educating girls and making them self reliant was very important. He said that Sirmour district was becoming a hub of good educational institutions which included 10 colleges including IIM at Dhaulakuan and Medical College at Nahan. He said that these educational institutions would facilitate youth especially girls to receive education nearer to their homes.

He said that the present Government does not believe in empty promises and has delivered results by doing concrete work on ground. He said that milestones have been achieved in overall development of the State and in every sector. He said that he believes in rising above petty politics and regionalism and added that he was committed to the balanced development of entire State and each district equally and made no discrimination on any grounds. He said that his Government did not open any educational institution without any forethought but had provided a budget of Rs. 10 crore whenever any college was opened for infrastructure development etc.

Shri Virbhadra Singh said that 255 villages have been provided with road connectivity with the construction of 1415 km new roads and 134 new bridges within three and half year of this Government. He said that cross-drain was laid on 2766 km road where as 2316 km road were paved and 5429 km roads were re-paved. He said that road connectivity was being provided to most of the renowned religious places in the State for convenience of the devotees, local people and tourists.

Chief Minister also announced sanctioning of girls hostel with capacity of 100 for Government Degree College Haripurdhar and Water supply Scheme for Government Degree College, Haripurdhar at the cost of Rs. 65 lakh.
He also announced construction of a boundary wall for Government Degree College Haripurdhar.

Chief Minister also announced a Police post for Haripurdhar, upgradation of Government High School Madhyach to GSSS, Government Primary School Beyong to Government Middle School, a new electricity transformer for Degree College, Haripurdhar. He said that a HRTC bus would be plied from Haripurdhar bazaar to Government Degree College. He also announced upgradation of Primary Health Centre Haripurdhar to Community Health Centre and Health Sub  Centre Bhawai  upgraded to Primary Health Centre .

Chief Parliamentary Secretary Shri Vinay Kumar, MLA,Shri Kirnesh Jung,  President Youth Congress Shri Vikramidtya Singh,    Vice Chairman State Planning Board Shri G.R. Musafir, Chairman HIMFED Shri Ajay Bahadur, Chairman Zila Parishad Shri Dilip Chauhan, President District Congress Committee Shri Ajay Solanki, Deputy Commissioner Shri Balbir Chand Badalia, Congress leaders, senior officers of State Government and other prominent people were also present on the occasion.
