CM dedicates projects worth Rs. 145 crore in Nahan Vidhan Sabha area

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurating and laying  foundation stones of developmental projects in Nahan Vidhan Sabha area of Sirmaur district through VC from Shimla on 28 July 2020.

         

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs. 145 crore in Nahan Vidhan Sabha area of Sirmaur district through video conferencing from Shimla today.

The projects dedicated by the Chief Minister include Rs. 52.79 crore Giri drinking water supply scheme, rupees seven crore indoor stadium, Rs. 10.74 crore upgradation of Trilokpur Kala-Amb-Nagal-Suketi-Bikrambaag-Khajurana road, Rs.5.65 crore building of H.P. State Cooperative Bank, rupees three crore multi-storeyed building of Police Lines, Rs. 1.91 crore building of Police Station SB & ACB and Rs. 2.40 crore building of District Attorney.   

Jai Ram Thakur also inaugurated Bodhwara Khajuriwala Irrigation Scheme at Parduni constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.37 crore, Gym Hall and Canteen in Degree College Nahan built at a cost of Rs. 1.13 crore, Jamta-Katyad road constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.75 crore, Khajurana-Malonwala road built by spending Rs. 1.18 crore and Bohliyon-Jogiban link road made by incurring an expenditure of Rs. 65 lakh. He also inaugurated District Tourism Development Office at Dosadka near Nahan.

Chief Minister laid foundation stones of sewerage system for Kala-Amb and Moginand area to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 20.90 crore, sewerage system for Trilokpur, Khairi and Johro to be built with an outlay of Rs. 14.51 crore, Rs. 6.30 crore Skill Upgradation Centre and HPSEBL Office, Extension of 33 KV Sub Station Nahan Do-Sadka to be done at a cost of Rs. 3.80 crore and Rs. 4.14 crore residential complex of Dr. Y.S. Parmar Medical College and Hospital.

Jai Ram Thakur also performed foundation stone laying ceremonies of a bridge at  Pathrala Ka Khala on Khajurana Bikrambaag  road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.50 crore,  Rs. 95 lakh bridge at Gadpela over Salani khad on Jabbal Ka Baag-Kandewala road, Rs. 88 lakh Kanyon Ghat-Balka Baratal road, Rs. 65.61 lakh bridge over Balsar khad on Balsar-Khanda road and Rs. 30 lakh Devka Pudala link road on Banog-Surala road.

Chief Minister said that the Giri water supply scheme would provide better water supply facilities to the people of Nahan area. He said that credit of this goes to the dedicated and committed efforts of local MLA Dr. Rajiv Bindal.

Jai Ram Thakur said that we all have to remain more vigilant against the COVID-19 pandemic and the State Government was fully prepared to meet out any eventuality. He said that active cooperation of the people of the State was required to check spread of this virus. He said that the opposition leaders were even politicizing the corona crisis. He said that the Congress leaders were holding political rallies and dharnas by defying all norms of social distancing. He said that people of the State were well aware of the nefarious designs of the Congress leaders and would give them befitting reply in year 2022.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the death rate due to coronavirus in India was lowest in the world and fifteen most developed countries of the world has witnessed about 6.70 lakh death as compared to about 33,000 deaths reported in India. He said that the country today has strong leadership in form of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was successfully guiding the Nation to make it the most prosperous Nation of the world. He assured the people of the area that all the projects foundation stone of which was laid by him today would be completed within the stipulated time period.

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal said that the Cooperative movement in the State has become a mass movement and credit of this goes to the far sighted leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.  

State BJP President and Member Parliament Suresh Kashyap said that MLA Nahan Dr. Rajiv Bindal was concerned towards the developmental aspirations of the people of the area. He said that the State Government under the able leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has launched several schemes for ensuring all-round development of the State. Former Vidhan Sabha Speaker and local MLA Dr. Rajiv Bindal thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating developmental projects worth crores of Rupees for Nahan Vidhan Sabha area. He said that the developmental projects would go a long way in making Nahan Vidhan Sabha a Model Vidhan Sabha of the State. He also thanked the Chief Minister for strengthening the Nahan Medical College which has proved a boon for the people of the area in this COVID-19 pandemic. He said that the bridges inaugurated by the Chief Minister today would strengthen road connectivity in the area.

Chairman State Agriculture Marketing Board Baldev Bhandari said that Cooperative Bank Building constructed at a cost of Rs 5.65 crore would go long way in providing banking services to the people of the area. 

District BJP President Vinay Gupta while welcoming the Chief Minister said that over two lakh face covers were prepared and distributed in the district by the party functionaries.

Deputy Commissioner Sirmour Dr. R.K.Pruthi presented vote of thanks. 

Chairman State Cooperative Bank Khushi Ram Balnahta, Nahan Nagar Parishad Chairperson Rekha Tomar, Vice Chairman Avinash Gupta, Member Zila Parishad Maneesh Chauhan, Members of Pradesh BJP Executive Committee Deen Dayal Verma, O.P. Saini and R.R. Sharma also participated in the video conferencing among others.
