Astrology is an ancient Indian science: Chief Minister

                         Astrology was an old Indian science, but it was also a subject of research in the modern era, through which its researcher explains the solutions to solve the problems of the common man, while presently it was also taught as a science in various recognized universities. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on the occasion of the award distribution function of conference organized by the All India Saraswati Jyotish Manch today.

The Chief Minister said that astrology was encouraging Indian culture among people, while it also serves as a field of employment for the youth. He said that individuals practicing this science help in the upliftment of society by awakening the spirit of harmony among people. He said that astrology was a science that starts with birth and continues till the end of life in our culture.

Jai Ram Thakur said that a person suffering from problems would take help of astrology. He called upon astrologers to solve the problems of needy with their knowledge and must not misuse it for their means of prosperity. He said that more research should be done for the development and dissemination of this science so that India will be on the path of becoming a cultural world teacher.

The Chief Minister said that the state government will consider starting astrology course at the university level. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also honoured various astrologers and distributed prizes to the prominent astrologers.

On this occasion, Rajeev Sharma, Chairman of the Manch welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries.

Vikrant Sharma, Ajay Bambi, Pandit Vipin Sharma, R.K. Bhardwaj and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
