CM dedicates developmental projects worth Rs. 37 crore in Kandaghat

 Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh today dedicated and laid foundation stone of developmental projects worth Rs. 37 crore in Kandaghat area in Solan district.

He announced Veterinary Dispensary at Aanji, Health Sub Centre at Kuftu and to upgrade Middle School Dadhog to High School and construction of Science Block at GSS Delgi.  He announced to metal Mahi-Karola road and Chail-Jhaja via Ashwani Khud and approved drinking water scheme for Malga village.  

While addressing a large gathering at Kandaghat Shri Virbhadra Singh said that the Government was committed for development of the State and was ensuring that benefits of the welfare schemes reaches the person living at lowest ebb. He said that the Government would examine the demand of opening of Community Health Centre at Nauni. He expressed happiness that Solan district had marched ahead speedily on the path of development along with the entire state. He said that being the gateway to the State, the Government was giving special emphasis on development of Solan district.  

He said that farmers of the district had adopted floriculture and off-season vegetable production in a big way which has resulted in improving their economy.  He said that the district had earned its name in the field of tomato and mushroom cultivation was now poised to become vegetable basket of the State. He said that the progressive farmers of the district were adopting best techniques to increase their harvest and the Government was providing them all possible help.

Chief Minister said that a number of roads had been constructed in the district which had opened the new vistas of development and prosperity.  He said that the district was also having vast tourism potential and government was committed to harness the same.

The Chief Minister said it was unfortunate that few leaders of opposition were opposing the sight of new hospital at Kandaghat adding that such people were anti development and anti people.  He warned such elements and said that government would strictly deal with such forces who try to create hurdles in development works.

He also released the calendar of Shreenagar Gram Panchyat of Kandaghat Development Block on this occasion.

Earlier, Chief Minister inaugurated new school building of government senior secondary school completed at a cost of Rs.1.10 crore, hostel building of Polytechnic college at Kandaghat constructed by spending Rs. 2.10 crore and lift water supply scheme for the habitants of gram panchayats Sirinagar, Bisha, Mahi, Kwarag and Chhausa of the area on which Rs. 3.81 crore were spent. He also laid foundation stones of Government Degree College building and Sabji Mandi at Kandaghat.

Shri Virbhadra Singh earlier inaugurated drinking water supply scheme at Chail for five gram panchayats-Sakodi, Jhajha, Dhangeel, Hinner and Banjhni to be completed at a cost of Rs. 4 crore which would benefit 5200 people of these panchayats. He also laid foundation stone for widening and improving 29 kilometres long Chail-Gauda road on which a sum of Rs. 19 crore would be spent. 

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil said the successive Congress Governments ensured the speedy and al-round development of the state and credit goes to the dynamic and visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh who was heading the State Government for the record sixth time. 

 

Chairman, APMC Solan Shri Ramesh Thakur welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for ensuring all-round development of the Solan district during the last four years.

Chairperson, State Women Commission Smt. Janeb Jandel, General Secretary of the State Congress party Shri Vinod Sultanpuri and General Secretary of the Solan district Congress Shri Shiv Dutt also spoke on the occasion.

Irrigation and Public Health Minister Smt. Vidya Stokes, Transport and Technical Education Minister Shri G.S Bali, Vice Chairman, H.P Khadi Board Shri Ramesh Chauhan, District Congress President Shri Rahul Thakur were present on the occasion.
