Dullo Ram of Machkeher villave
of Joginder Nagar Tehsil in Mandi District had been suffering from heart disease
and was required to be operated for Coronary Angioplasy but due to poverty &
lack of resources he could not manage to arrange money for his operation. He
approached Chief Minister for the treatment of his heart disease and Rs.2,
33,200 was released him out of C.M. relief fund for his treatment.
If Dullo Ram was fortunate to
receive relief for his treatment from Chief Minister Relief Fund, Anil Kumar of
village Jhandwin of tehsil Bhoranj in Hamirpur district is also a happy lot
today. He was suffering from a kidney disease & both of his kidneys were damaged
& all the hopes of life were shattered. Like Dullo Ram he also could not manage
the huge amount of money required for kidney transplantation however the Chief
Relief Minister Fund came to his rescue and he was extended a financial help of
Rs. 4 lakh for kidney transplantation Anil Kumar was operated at the Silver
Oaks hospital of Mohali in Punjab after while he received a new lease of life.
The kidney transplantation was successful and now he is leading happy life.
There is a long lists of
beneficiaries who had one or the other medical problems and were not in a
position to spend huge amount of sum required for medical treatment of various
ailments. Karan Singh of village Ropri in Hamirpur District was also suffering
from heart disease and he sought treatment at Inder-Prasth Apolo Hospital, New
Delhi. He was provided relief of Rs one lakh out of Chief Minister Relief Fund
for the treatment of heart disease
Smt. Hamita Begam of Junhu
village in Chamba district, Kumari Vanshika of Jangal village of Kangra
district, Ram Chand Sharma Dhandir village of Bilaspur district, Ashwani Kumar
of Mandow ki Sair of Sirmaur district, Arun Jashwal of Gagrate in Una district,
Munish Gupta of Sujanpur Tihra in Hamirpur district are some of the recipients
of relief from Chief Minister Relief Fund over provided Rs one lakh each for the
treatment of one or the other ailments. So far more than one hundred needy and
deserving persons have been provided relief for the treatment of various
ailments.
The State Government under the
leadership of Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal immediately after assuming power on 30th
December, 2008 had decided to provide succour to the poor and under privileged
sections of the society. In order to motivate the people, business
establishments and Associations etc. to make liberal contribution in the Chief
Minister Relief-Fund fervent appeals were made to the people & surprisingly
large number of organizations came forward to contribute in the Chief Minister
Relief-fund for the noble cause of mitigating the suffering of people.
Among the major donations made
by various Organizations, Associations and Individuals the Raury unit of the
Cement Ambuja Ltd. has contributed Rs. one crore. The Bilaspur Truck Operator
Society of Barmana donated Rs. 21 lakh while H.P. State Cooperative Bank made a
contribution Rs. 15,52,590 ALEO Manali Hydro Power Private Ltd. Donated Rs. 5
lakh towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund. On the other hand the Solan
District Truck Operator Cooperator Transport Society Ltd. Dalraghat had
contributed Rs. 4 lakh towards Chief Minister Relief Fund.
The donation for Chief Minister
Relief Fund had started pouring in from 1st Jan., 2008 and till 28th May, 2008
Rs.3,2,70,527 had been deposited in Chief Minister Relief Fund. The relief to
various individual in the shape of medical aid has been disbursed to the
tune of 82,89.581.
